This year, Students will be using a program called SolidWorks. This program is what you would call a 3D solid modeling program or CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. The Wheat Ridge STEM team will be teaching students how to use this program using a system of technical drawings that will introduce a new mechanic in the program. Once the students have completed every drawing they will have made a fully functional 3D Power Pump. After students graduate from this course, they will be capable of designing any part they can think of (with some thinking beforehand). This course as a whole will allow every student to help design cars, which is especially important this year, because of our new project... Vintage Mini Roadsters!
